APCEIU is organizing the 2012 ROK-UK/USA Teacher Exchange Programme from June 17 ~ July 14, 2012 in Korea to enhance teachers' global education competence by providing the participating teachers with opportunities to teach at schools abroad. 13 teachers from UK and 8 teachers from USA are participating in this 4-week, inter-regional programme sponsored by the Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST). Following the orientation held on June 18 ~ 19 in Seoul, the UK and USA teachers have been dispatched to 21 partner schools in 12 different provinces in Korea. At the host schools, these teachers will have opportunities to co-teach with Korean teachers, conduct cross-cultural awareness classes, visit other Korean schools and experience Korean culture. The participating teachers will share their experiences at the final presentation on July 13, 2012. This exchange programme is expected to contribute to the enhancement of the quality of education in the participating countries by strengthening the teachers' global education competence and promoting mutual understanding.
