Established in 2000 according to an agreement between UNESCO and the government of the Republic of Korea, APCEIU is a UNESCO category II institute committed to enhancing Education for International Understanding (EIU) in the Asia-Pacific region.

In the past decade, traditional boundaries have weakened as interactions among nations, religions and cultures multiplied at an exponential rate. It is imperative that the international communities share a vision “to live together and help each other.”

For this purpose, APCEIU has been organizing various types of training workshops and has been developing multimedia resource materials for UNESCO member states in this region as well as those in neighboring regions.

Celebrating the 10th anniversary, APCEIU has reinforced its institutional aspects, which culminated in the constitution of a new international governing board and the move to our newly updated facilities located in Guro, Seoul.
