이 책은 아시아 사람들이 직접 쓰고 그린 단편 12편과 삽화를 담고 있다. 모든 이야기들은 아태교육원이 실시하였던 ‘국제이해교육 스토리 공모전 (EIU Story Collection Project, 2011-2013)’에 출품되었던 것으로, 국제이해교육 자료로써 활용가치가 높은 작품 중 아시아 지역 작품만 모아 엄선한 것이다. 또한 이 책이 실제 교실이나 일상 생활에서도 좀 더 많은 사람들에게 더불어 살아가는 것의 가치에 대해 다시 한번 생각해보고 모두가 함께 실천해 나갈 수 있도록 하는 계기가 되기를 기대한다.
